Happy New Year to the Boy Scouts Family!!!

Happy New Year to the Boy Scouts Family!!!

Thank you all for gathering money for Father Joe and his community as he leaves St. Clares School. He will be missed

Good evening to all of Troop 41. A massive thanks to all those who came out to help with our Wreaths Across America. Here are some of the highlights of the event:

Good Evening All Scouts.
Mr Ricco spoke to the Scouts last meeting about the BSA Modern Day Saints Emblem. This special patch can be earned by Scouts AND parents too! It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Saints and grow deeper in our faith along side our children and Troop.
We chose Blessed Carlo Acutis as our first Saint because of the connection younger people can feel with this young man of awesome faith. He is a role model of the faith and someone we should strive to live as. We hope that Scouts and parents join us on this journey. There are specific questions to answer and activities to complete in order to earn the patch. This is optional and it is not a merit badge.
One of the activities includes supporting foreign missions (#5)- Scouts are encouraged to bring in a $5 donation to the meeting next week for this purpose. We are going to support Fr Joseph Harrison of St Clare in his mission to enhance his Church and community in Ghana, Africa. This will fulfill one activity, leaving 2 more of your choice. I will upload the document that outlines questions and activities.
We will determine a time, after the new year, to come together in discussion of this Modern Day Saint, Blessed Carlo Acutis.

Thank you to all of the scouts who attended the camping trip to westpoint and to all the leaders and adults who accompanied them on the trip as well as the game. It was truly a remarkable experience. Here are some of the highlights from this success of a weekend:
